About the Role
Join a Y Combinator-backed fintech startup building an AI-powered voice and omnichannel platform for debt collections and financial servicing. As a Data Engineer, you'll work directly with the founding team to design end-to-end data pipelines and analytics that turn millions of call events into actionable insights. You'll shape the data infrastructure from the ground up — building dashboards, APIs, and interfaces that put critical information into the hands of decision-makers at financial institutions.
This is a high-impact, early-stage role for someone who thrives at the intersection of data engineering and product thinking in a fast-moving environment.
What You'll Do
- Design and build end-to-end data pipelines covering ingestion, transformation, and analytics at scale.
- Architect the infrastructure needed to process and analyze millions of call events.
- Build dashboards, APIs, and React-based interfaces that surface insights to operators and customers.
- Collaborate closely with the founding team and external customers to translate data into real operational decisions.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Proficiency with SQL and relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
- Proven experience designing and building end-to-end data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analytics.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Exposure to or experience with TypeScript for integration with frontend dashboards or interfaces.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Supabase as a backend data store.
- Experience building dashboards and APIs to deliver data-driven insights.
- Background in financial services or healthcare contexts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with customers and a founding team.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 USD per year
- Visa sponsorship is available
