Responsibilities

Purpose of the Job

  • Passive Outage analysis, trouble shooting, RCA and reporting
  • Routine Power audits, checks and reporting
  • Preventive, Predictive & corrective maintenance implementation and supervision
  • On site passive routine systems checks and reporting
  • Responsible and accountable for Passive spares at Core locations
  • RFI for new equipment addition
  • Redundant equipment removal
  • Equipment documentation
  • Redundancy assurance from rack level
  • Taking stock of customer (internal/external) requests
  • Reviewing customer requirements
  • Core location Access management
  • Monitors the performance of passive contractors and ensures delivery within the agreed SLAs
  • Activity planning, impact analysis and quality assurance
  • Make routine visits to review contractor performance
  • Ensures Core locations standards are adhered to by all Location users
  • Passive Survey and RFI support
  • Project BOQs Validation
  • Suggests and innovates OPEX reduction projects.
  • Implements, monitors and supervisors key OPEX reduction projects.
  • PUE improvement and maintenance
  • Fuel management and reporting
  • Ensure adherence to the company processes
  • Ensures compliance to partner contracts and escalates where improvements are required
  • Ensures Occupational health and safety standards adherence at all core locations
  • Data Centre and Telecommunication facilities standards assurance
  • TIER 3 + Standards assurance

Qualifications

Must have:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree or related fields
  • Professional Certification will be an added advantage
  • At least 3 years’ experience
