POSITION SUMMARY
This individual is responsible for creating and maintaining records on engineering technical data including manufacturing BOMs, methods, drawings, instructions, guideline, and procedures. These are performed primarily for New Parts, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and special projects. This role works collaboratively with other functions, most notably Quality, Purchasing, and Production.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Methods of Manufacture
- Develop and maintain part-specific Methods of Manufacture (MOM) by entering detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Operations (BOO). Create Parts and settings.
- Work closely with the quality and production teams to optimize routing steps and continuously improve
- Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings to build structured routings
Drawings
- Revise drawings to reflect marked-up changes and ensure conformance to engineering standards
- Produce new drawings and make changes as need for ECOs and New Parts
Production Support
- Assist with Job Entry tasks to pull revised MOMs into active production jobs
- Responsive to daily needs that arise, related to technical data management (MOMs and drawings)
- Helps fill Job packets with new/modified Traveler and/or drawings
Projects
- Participate in continuous improvement projects as assigned
- Continuously strive to optimize and enhance technical data for clarity and shop floor efficiency
EDUCATIONAL/LANGUAGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 5-10 Years Background in direct Manufacturing, Scheduling or Supply Chain Management
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or equivlent comensurate experience
- Proven proficiency with Epicor (MOMs, Parts, ECOs)
- Able to read/interpret/create/modify drawings

PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Normal work location is in administration/ office environment, a sedentary position.
- Lifting/push/pull office equipment 10-25lbs on an infrequent basis.
- Walking, standing and navigating stairs frequently; follows all safety & PPE standards.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job consistent with ADA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
