Job Description
- Plan and track progress across multiple parallel hardware engineering design projects (PCB and mechanical), flagging risks and schedule slips early.
- Drive technical discussions with customers, translating engineering status, trade-offs, and risks into clear updates and decisions.
- Act as the primary point of coordination between design engineers, manufacturing, procurement, and program stakeholders.
- Own and maintain project schedules, milestones, and status reporting in JIRA (or equivalent), keeping stakeholders aligned on priorities and blockers.
- Coordinate prototype builds end-to-end, working closely with manufacturing and Technical Program Management (TPM) teams to sequence builds, resolve issues, and hit build dates.
- Manage the RFQ process for components, PCBs, and mechanical parts-soliciting quotes, comparing suppliers/ CMs, and driving decisions on cost, lead time, and quality.
- Derive Statement of Work documents outlining the scope of engineering projects.
- Engage with global head of marketing to define go to market strategy for engineering services.
- Identify and resolve cross-project dependencies and resource conflicts proactively.
- Maintain clear documentation of project plans, decisions, and action items.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA for project management.
- Comfortable leading technical conversations directly with customers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage several concurrent projects without losing track of details.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of PCB design and mechanical design workflows (e.g., Altium, KiCad, SolidWorks) sufficient to engage credibly with design engineers.
- Experience managing global customers or cross-border supplier relationships.
- Experience running or supporting RFQ processes with suppliers or contract manufacturers.
