Description

Jusczak Companies is seeking an experienced, hands-on IT & Cybersecurity Manager to lead and manage the technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems administration, and end-user technology needs across our organization.

Jusczak Companies operates across transportation, logistics, and fleet repair, making reliable and secure technology critical to our day-to-day operations. The IT & Cybersecurity Manager will be responsible for ensuring our systems are secure, dependable, scalable, and properly supported while reducing cybersecurity risk and improving technology across the organization.

This role will serve as the primary internal owner of IT and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing an IT strategy, working with technology vendors, administering systems, responding to cybersecurity threats, and helping an employee resolve a technology issue.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure & Operations

  • Manage the company's overall IT environment, including computers, mobile devices, servers, networks, internet connectivity, wireless networks, printers, and related technology.
  • Maintain reliable technology operations across company offices, shops, and other operating locations.
  • Administer company user accounts, email, applications, permissions, and technology access.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective, including account creation, device deployment, access permissions, and timely removal of access.
  • Establish standards for company computers, mobile devices, software, and technology purchases.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of company hardware, software, licenses, and technology assets.
  • Manage software licensing, renewals, warranties, equipment replacement, and technology lifecycle planning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technology issues directly or coordinate resolution with outside vendors.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for systems, configurations, processes, vendors, and critical technology infrastructure.
  • Evaluate new technology and recommend solutions that improve reliability, security, productivity, and scalability.

Cybersecurity

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company's cybersecurity program.
  • Establish and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Protect company systems, employee accounts, customer information, operational data, and other sensitive information from unauthorized access or loss.
  • Manage identity and access controls, including multi-factor authentication, password standards, privileged access, and user permissions.
  • Manage endpoint protection, antivirus/EDR, email security, firewalls, network security, encryption, patching, and vulnerability management.
  • Monitor systems and security tools for suspicious activity and cybersecurity threats.
  • Coordinate vulnerability assessments, security reviews, and remediation activities.
  • Develop and maintain an incident response plan for cybersecurity events.
  • Lead the company's response to suspected phishing, malware, compromised accounts, ransomware, data breaches, and other security incidents.
  • Maintain secure backup and disaster recovery practices and periodically test the company's ability to recover critical systems and data.
  • Evaluate cybersecurity risks associated with software providers, technology vendors, and other third parties.
  • Stay current on cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and recommended security practices.

Employee Security & Technology Support

  • Serve as the primary internal resource for employee IT and cybersecurity questions.
  • Develop cybersecurity awareness and training programs for employees.
  • Conduct regular phishing and security-awareness education.
  • Educate employees on password security, phishing, social engineering, safe data handling, and appropriate use of company technology.
  • Create clear processes for employees to report suspicious emails, compromised accounts, lost devices, and other potential security issues.
  • Provide responsive technology support while identifying recurring issues that can be permanently resolved or automated.

Systems, Applications & Data

  • Manage and support the company's core business applications and technology platforms.
  • Coordinate integrations and data flow between company systems when appropriate.
  • Work with department leaders to identify technology needs and improve workflows.
  • Maintain appropriate access controls based on employee roles and responsibilities.
  • Ensure software updates, security patches, and system upgrades are completed appropriately.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate applications, eliminate unnecessary technology expenses, and improve system utilization.
  • Support technology and data requirements across trucking, logistics, fleet repair, finance, HR, sales, and administrative functions.

Vendor & Budget Management

  • Manage relationships with managed service providers, software vendors, telecommunications providers, cybersecurity vendors, and other technology partners.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and hold outside technology providers accountable for service, security, and response times.
  • Review technology contracts, subscriptions, and renewals.
  • Develop and manage the annual IT and cybersecurity budget.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary technology costs while improving capability and security.
  • Assist leadership in evaluating major technology investments and communicating their business value and risk.

Business Continuity & Risk Management

  • Develop technology-related business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Identify critical systems and establish appropriate recovery priorities.
  • Ensure company data is appropriately backed up, protected, and recoverable.
  • Conduct periodic recovery testing and document results.
  • Maintain documentation necessary to respond effectively to outages, cybersecurity incidents, or technology failures.
  • Assist leadership with cybersecurity insurance requirements, security questionnaires, customer technology requirements, and related compliance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

  • Ability to communicate technical and cybersecurity issues clearly to employees and leadership without unnecessary technical jargon.
  • Strong documentation, organization, project management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience supporting a multi-location organization.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, trucking, fleet management, manufacturing, construction, or another operationally intensive industry.
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Azure AD, Intune, or similar cloud-based identity and device-management platforms.
  • Experience implementing or managing endpoint detection and response (EDR), security monitoring, vulnerability management, and backup solutions.
  • Experience developing cybersecurity policies, incident response procedures, disaster recovery plans, and employee security training.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, or similar best-practice frameworks.
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity insurance applications, customer security questionnaires, audits, or compliance requirements.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, Network+, CISSP, CISM, Microsoft certifications, or comparable credentials are a plus.
