Full description

He/She plans, directs, and oversees the end-to-end execution of physical infrastructure and security installations. This role ensures that all structured cabling, network racks, server hardware, and containment systems are installed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. You will lead engineers and sub-contractors while serving as the site primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution: Translate engineering designs and network topologies into actionable physical installation plans. Allocate resources, schedule labor, and manage the procurement of tools and deployment materials.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision: Manage, mentor, and schedule a team of in-house installation technicians and external sub-contractors. Conduct regular performance reviews and identify skills gaps.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all structured cabling, server rack clean-outs, and patch management adhere to international standards (e.g., ANSI/TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC) and local regulations (e.g., IMDA standards in Singapore).
  • Site Safety Management: Enforce strict adherence to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) guidelines. Conduct Risk Assessments (RA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) for all on-site deployment activities.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison between client project managers, IT infrastructure teams, and internal engineers. Provide regular, structured progress reports and manage change-order requests.
  • Inventory & Tool Management: Oversee the logistics of site delivery for server racks, containment tracks, bulk cable boxes, and specialized testing equipment (e.g., Fluke testers).
  • Testing & Handover: Oversee the final testing, labeling, and commissioning of all network drops. Deliver comprehensive "as-built" documentation, cable certification reports, and rack elevation diagrams to the client upon project completion.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on experience in security system, ELV works, structured cabling or data center infrastructure deployment typically for Green Field Projects, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
