Your opportunity

Support the delivery of investment data operations across multiple asset classes and products, with a primary focus on Investment Data Operations, Data Quality, and Issuer/Broker Data. The role is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and controlled processing of investment data, supporting front‑office, risk, and downstream operational functions.

The Data Operations Analyst plays a key role in maintaining data integrity, identifying and resolving data issues, mitigating operational risk, and supporting regulatory compliance. The role acts as a day‑to‑day point of contact for internal stakeholders and external providers, contributing to continuous improvement and operational resilience.

  • Perform day‑to‑day investment data operations activities, supporting effective coverage across all operational areas.
  • Support the end‑to‑end implementation of client and fund activity, including launches, closures, restructures, in‑species events, changes of custody, and mergers.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of all data operations tasks, maintaining high standards of data integrity and operational control.
  • Contribute to operating model enhancements and process improvement initiatives, working closely with Operations leadership and peers.
  • Liaise with portfolio management, technology, compliance, legal, and risk teams to follow and support the implementation of established procedures and protocols.
  • Adhere to internal policies and external regulatory requirements, supporting audit and regulatory reviews as required.
  • Act as a day‑to‑day operational contact for internal and external stakeholders, escalating issues appropriately.
  • Support the maintenance of operational policies and procedures, contributing to documentation and continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis on master data‑related issues and support the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Perform the onboarding and ongoing maintenance of security master data, ensuring accurate setup, updates, and controls.
  • Maintain a working understanding of master data tools, downstream systems, and data quality rules.
  • Support Broker, Counterparty, and Issuer data onboarding and maintenance activities.
  • Review and monitor data quality exceptions on a daily basis, investigating and resolving issues where appropriate.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills

  • Data Operations Expertise: Significant experience across the full spectrum of data operations, including investment data operations, data quality, and issuer/broker data. Detailed experience in either transition/onboarding/client service role.
  • Operational Control: Strong understanding of operational risk, control frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency and mitigate risk.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
  • Data Quality Expertise: Proven track record in implementing data quality practices in large financial organizations, enhancing data reliability and resolving exceptions.
  • Team-Oriented and Client-Focused: A strong sense of teamwork and a consistent focus on meeting client needs, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and effective interactions with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business, promoting trust and collaboration.
  • Approachable and Open-Minded: Known for being approachable and open-minded, creating an inclusive and supportive work environment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Client Interaction: Liaise with clients, data vendors, and brokers to resolve any operational issues.
