Job Summary Technicians are primarily expected to participate in ITIL processes Incident, Request, and Change. Technicians are expected to resolve 80% or more of all incidents assigned to them, without requiring escalation to higher level resources.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • As the primary intake and incident management team supporting clients, technicians are expected to conduct all business communications in English including verbal and written.
  • Relevant familiarity with NOC systems and tools such as ScienceLogic, ServiceNow. Cisco IOS and CLI, Aruba Central, FortiManager, Cisco Meraki, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco ISE, Palo Alto Prisma, Cisco Catalyst Center Manager, and similar enterprise vendor toolsets.
  • Technicians will have seat adherence requirements and will be expected to maintain immediate availability to answer inbound calls from clients calling to report or follow up on new or existing tasks and tickets.
  • Technicians will be expected to successfully prosecute work, in order of priority, while adhering to committed service level agreements.

Key Technical Skills

  • ­Bachelors degree focusing on IT, Network Engineering, or other related studies.
  • Demonstrated experience working in an enterprise network operations center (NOC) or equivalent environment, providing remote troubleshooting, administration, support, and implementation of networking technologies.
  • Associate level knowledge of core networking features and functionality including TCP/IP addressing, routing, switching, VPN, SDWan, and wireless access points.
  • Demonstrated understanding of network redundancy and fault tolerance mechanisms such as HSRP, VRRP, etc.
  • Have or will obtain within 120d of hire, relevant associate-level certification (CCNA or equivalent).
