In this role, you'll:

Be working as part of a team delivering scalable, secure and reliable data solutions that support analytics, business intelligence and operational systems.

This role will see you design, build and optimise modern data pipelines, integration frameworks and data management processes across cloud platforms, ensuring data is accurate, accessible and well governed to enable data-driven decision-making and business outcomes.

As a newly created role, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape ways of working, share your engineering expertise and contribute to a collaborative, squad-based environment.

You will lead the development and automation of data pipelines and integration solutions, provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams, mentor and support colleagues, drive efficiencies and innovation, and deliver trusted data outcomes in a complex enterprise environment balancing performance, scalability, governance, cybersecurity, privacy and diverse stakeholder priorities.

About you

Your strong data engineering expertise, communication skills, collaborative approach and problem-solving capability formed across cloud, data engineering, analytics and enterprise technology environments will see you excel in designing and delivering scalable, high-quality data solutions, integrating complex and diverse data sources, and enabling reliable business intelligence, analytics and operational reporting outcomes.

You’re recognised as a collaborative and influential communicator, skilled at building relationships, actively listening, solving problems and working effectively across cross-functional teams, experienced in designing and managing large-scale data engineering solutions using cloud platforms such as AWS and Databricks, SQL, Python, ETL/ELT frameworks, data modelling, database design, automation, governance, security and engineering best practices.

You have experience developing reusable data frameworks, tools, and automation solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and data quality.

You will bring the ability to navigate evolving cloud and data engineering technologies, balance innovation with governance and compliance requirements, manage competing priorities in a complex enterprise environment, and identify opportunities to deliver measurable customer, operational and business value through modern data solutions.

Location: Macquarie Park

Working arrangement: Hybrid, with the team currently spending approximately 50% of their time working from the office.
