Accountabilities: As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be responsible for strengthening security across infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, and compliance programs. You will work collaboratively with technical teams to identify risks, improve processes, and ensure security is integrated into every stage of product development.
- Own security initiatives across cloud infrastructure, applications, codebases, and enterprise deployments.
- Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and proactive security reviews to identify and remediate risks.
- Analyze and improve security controls across applications, DevOps pipelines, and cloud environments.
- Strengthen data protection practices, including encryption, access management, audit logging, and secure hosting configurations.
- Lead compliance efforts related to SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR frameworks, including audit preparation and certification activities.
- Establish secure development practices and support security reviews throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Partner with Engineering, DevOps, and ML teams to integrate security best practices into product development.
- Manage vulnerability detection and remediation processes using security testing and monitoring tools.
- Drive continuous improvements to the organization’s overall security maturity and resilience.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate brings strong security engineering experience, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment. You should have experience securing modern cloud-based systems and supporting compliance initiatives.
- 3–6 years of experience in Security Engineering or a related cybersecurity role.
- Hands-on experience with penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security risk identification.
- Strong knowledge of application security and secure coding practices.
- Experience assessing security risks across codebases, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, and Azure security best practices.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes security principles.
- Knowledge of security testing tools, including SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, and vulnerability management platforms.
- Experience with Git workflows and CI/CD systems.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience securing AI/ML systems or regulated technology environments is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and communicate security concepts clearly to technical stakeholders.
