The opportunity
The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for analytics, proactive data management, and the development and maintenance of reports, information systems, and tools for the Planning and Scheduling department. This role combines deep planning expertise with Al solutions and large language model (LLM) approaches to simplify complex problems and generate proposed solutions for leadership consideration. The Analyst will also ensure appropriate documentation is completed for developed programs and that users are adequately trained in new systems.
The role
- Conduct proactive data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies ahead of need, providing actionable recommendations to upper management and the team to improve planning and scheduling processes.• Apply large-scale models and LLM-based approaches to simplify complex planning problems, surface insights faster, and generate well-reasoned solution proposals for leadership review.• Perform the analysis, programming, testing, and maintenance of information systems to provide support in the planning department.• Collaborate with schedulers and other analysts to gather requirements and develop custom data models, metrics, and KPls that align with departmental goals, leveraging tools such as Tableau, Excel VBA, SQL, and Al-assisted analytics platforms.• Own proactive data management practices, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy through routine validation, monitoring, and maintenance of data systems and databases.• Develop, test, and maintain automated workflows and scripts (including Al -augmented processes) to streamline data processing, reporting, and other repetitive tasks , reducing manual effort and errors.• Translate technical findings and model outputs into clear, leadership-ready narratives and recommendations.
The requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.• A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a related field• Working knowledge of, or strong interest in, Al and LLM-based tools and their practical application to business problem-solving .• Advanced skills in Python , SQL, Excel and Tableau• Detail oriented, good organizational and time management skills
