Job Description:

Technical & Quality Manager: Shape Innovation, Quality & Technical Excellence

Based at our Dandenong South site, as a Technical & Quality Manager you play a critical leadership role within our Building Solutions Division.

Leading a small team, you will drive new product development, technical excellence, quality performance and compliance across a portfolio of market-leading building products, fasteners and hardware solutions.

Partnering closely with Product Management, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and major customers including Bunnings and Mitre 10, you will help bring innovative products to market while ensuring the highest standards of quality and product performance.

This is a highly visible role where success is measured through innovation, technical leadership, commercial outcomes and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

  • Use insights to  inform product development, testing and delivery
  • Develop and manage product specifications, technical data, compliance programs, quality systems and packaging development across the portfolio
  • Lead, coach and develop your team while maintaining a hands-on approach
  • Provide quality and technical support and expertise to sales, sourcing and supply chain
  • Drive sustainability, value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives while managing risk, compliance and stakeholder engagement.

What You Will Bring

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Experience leading engineering, technical, quality or R&D teams
  • Demonstrated success delivering new product development and cross-functional projects
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance technical risk with business priorities
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Building products, construction, hardware or manufacturing experience is highly regarded
