Job Overview

LPL Financial is seeking a Software Engineer responsible for designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting service-oriented applications using .NET/C# and Angular technologies. This role will deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to enhance engineering productivity, software quality, and delivery outcomes. The successful candidate will contribute across architecture, development, automation, testing, cloud deployment, observability, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support service-oriented applications, APIs, and microservices using ASP.NET Core, REST, and related technologies.
  • Build responsive and accessible Angular user interfaces and micro front-end solutions that integrate seamlessly with backend services.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate code generation, testing, documentation, code reviews, and software delivery processes.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing solutions, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development, deployment automation, quality controls, and release management processes.
  • Implement observability solutions including monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, and operational dashboards.
  • Design and develop secure applications aligned with enterprise security standards, secure coding practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product, Platform Engineering, Architecture, and Quality Engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Create technical documentation, architectural decision records (ADRs), and implementation designs to support engineering initiatives.
  • Analyze engineering metrics and continuously improve software quality, reliability, and delivery effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience developing service-oriented applications using .NET/C# and Angular.
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and modern application architecture patterns.
  • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching technologies, and asynchronous messaging platforms.
  • Experience developing automated testing solutions and supporting CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools to improve software delivery, engineering productivity, or software quality outcomes.

Pay Range:

$106,100.00 - $176,900.00  

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
