We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst – Financial Modeling & Revenue Analytics to own and maintain the company’s financial model, financial performance dashboards, and select financial schedules.
This position will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the financial model, producing accurate and timely financial schedules, analyzing actual and projected performance, and developing dashboards and trend reports that provide management with clear visibility into the business.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling and accounting knowledge with advanced analytical and reporting capabilities. This individual should be comfortable working with large data sets, identifying trends and variances, and translating financial information into actionable insights for senior management.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Own, maintain, and continuously improve the company’s integrated financial model, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and key operating assumptions.
- Update forecasts regularly using actual results, current operating trends, and management assumptions.
- Maintain and reconcile related select financial schedules and resolve discrepancies
- Develop and maintain executive financial dashboards showing actual results, forecasts, budgets, key performance indicators, and significant variances.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and year-over-year trend analysis across revenue, expenses, margins, cash flow, and other key financial metrics.
- Develop reporting that clearly identifies changes in business performance and the underlying drivers of those changes.
- Perform budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual variance analysis and provide explanations for significant deviations.
- Develop rolling forecasts and scenario/sensitivity analyses to help management understand the financial impact of changing business assumptions.
- Establish reporting around leading and lagging indicators to identify emerging trends before they materially affect financial results.
- Partner with Accounting to ensure financial models and management reporting reconcile with reported financial results.
- Work with operational leaders to validate assumptions and understand the business drivers behind financial performance.
- Improve automation and efficiency of recurring financial reports, reducing reliance on manual spreadsheet processes where practical.
- Maintain appropriate documentation, controls, and version management for financial models and recurring reports.
- Prepare concise financial analyses and presentations for senior management.
Dashboard & Management Reporting Responsibilities
The position should develop a management reporting package that provides a clear view of:
- Revenue and revenue growth
- Deferred revenue balance and expected recognition Actual vs. budget vs. forecast
- Gross margin and operating margin trends
- Operating expenses and major cost drivers
- Cash flow and liquidity
- Monthly, quarterly, and trailing-12-month trends
- Key business KPIs and operating drivers
- Significant favorable and unfavorable variances
- Forward-looking financial projections and potential risks
The goal is not simply to report historical numbers, but to answer what changed, why it changed, whether the trend is continuing, and what the financial impact is likely to be going forward.

Competencies:
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented
- Strong financial modeling and accounting knowledge with advanced analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Adept at working with large and complex data sets, identifying trends and variances, and transforming financial information into meaningful insights for senior management.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with approximately 5+ years of relevant FP&A, financial analysis, accounting, or financial modeling experience.
- Experience with deferred revenue and revenue recognition is strongly preferred, particularly in businesses involving contracts, subscriptions, memberships, prepaid services, or other arrangements where cash collection and revenue recognition occur in different periods.

Computer/Equipment Skills:
- The successful candidate should have advanced Excel and financial modeling skills and demonstrated experience developing management dashboards and financial reporting.
- Experience with Workday and Adaptive, or other ERP/accounting systems and business-intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is highly desirable. Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial executives are essential.

Work is performed in a professional office environment. Occasional physical activities may be required, including bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and lifting or moving items weighing up to 30 pounds.
