Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions division is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join its team. This remote role can be based in Glendale Heights, IL; Highland, IL; Houston, TX; Moon Township, PA; and Syracuse, NY, and only candidates located within these areas will be considered. This exciting opportunity provides ownership of the Nexus platform and the ability to shape its roadmap, adoption, and continuous improvement. The role combines business intelligence, analytics, reporting, data engineering, and stakeholder partnership to deliver measurable business value.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $126,000 a year.

What you’ll do:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst serves as the primary owner of the external Nexus workspace and application, which supports the organization's outside sales network. This role is responsible for driving the strategic direction, adoption, and continuous improvement of Nexus while delivering scalable analytics, reporting, and data solutions that support business objectives. Acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, the BI Analyst combines strong analytical and technical capabilities with leadership, initiative, and business acumen to identify opportunities, influence priorities, and execute solutions. The role also contributes to data engineering initiatives and serves as a subject matter expert for critical commercial and analytics platforms.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary business and technical owner of the Nexus platform, ensuring system reliability, performance, adoption, and ongoing enhancement.
- Define, prioritize, and execute the Nexus roadmap in partnership with sales leadership, commercial teams, and other business stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards, reports, data models, and self-service analytics solutions that support decision-making across the organization.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Nexus and related commercial analytics tools, providing guidance, support, and consultation to business users and leadership.
- Partner with IT, Data Engineering, and other technical teams to design, build, and support data pipelines, integrations, and enterprise analytics solutions.
- Lead the identification and execution of opportunities to improve processes, automate reporting, and enhance data accessibility and quality.
- Translate complex business requirements into practical, scalable analytical solutions that deliver measurable business value.
- Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Drive user engagement through training, documentation, change management, and best-practice governance.
- Demonstrate ownership and initiative by independently identifying priorities, solving problems, and leading projects from concept through implementation.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in analytics, business intelligence, data engineering or related STEM fields
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in relational databases and data warehouses (understand concepts of data modeling), and BI platforms/applications like Power BI, QlikView, or Tableau
- Experience reading/writing SQL queries
- Familiarity with big data/cloud technologies (Azure, Snowflake, Dataiku etc.)
- No relocation assistance will be provided for this role. Candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Glendale Heights, IL, Highland, IL, Houston, TX, Moon Township, PA, or Syracuse, NY. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Data Analytics / Data Science, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience working in analytics, business intelligence, data engineering or related STEM fields
- Minimum 7 years of working experience in relational databases and data warehouses (understand concepts of data modeling), and BI platforms/applications like Power BI, QlikView, or Tableau
- Experience with Python with exposure to machine learning
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Familiarity with DevOps ideas and concepts, including exposure to working in a CICD framework (e.g. Git)
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including coaching and mentoring team members"
