Role Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and develop the Supplier Quality, Incoming Quality Control (IQC), and Metrology teams, establishing performance objectives, building technical capability, and fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Own supplier quality performance, including supplier qualification, monitoring, audits, corrective actions, and development activities to ensure a reliable and capable supply chain.
  • Provide oversight of supplier-related nonconformances, SCARs, containment activities, and escalation processes, ensuring timely and effective resolution of quality issues impacting business operations.
  • Lead the Incoming Quality Control function, ensuring appropriate inspection strategies, sampling methodologies, resource planning, and risk-based controls are implemented to verify incoming product conformity.
  • Oversee the Metrology function, ensuring measurement systems, inspection technologies, and measurement methodologies remain compliant, capable, and fit for purpose.
  • Drive data-driven continuous improvement initiatives by analysing supplier, inspection, and quality performance trends to reduce risk, improve product quality, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Procurement, R&D, Manufacturing, Operations, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure component quality, specification clarity, supply continuity, and effective resolution of quality issues.
  • Support product development and industrialisation activities through supplier readiness assessments, quality risk management, inspection planning, and manufacturing quality input.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality management systems, customer requirements, and regulatory standards through effective governance, auditing, and quality assurance practices.
  • Monitor and communicate Supplier Quality, IQC, and Metrology performance through KPI reporting, management reviews, and strategic recommendations to support achievement of business objectives.

Skills & Experience Education: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Science, or other relevant technical discipline.

Work Experience: 

  • 8+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Quality Engineering, or related disciplines within Medical Device, Aerospace, Electronics, Precision Manufacturing, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Proven experience leading or managing technical quality teams, including Supplier Quality, Inspection, Metrology, or Manufacturing Quality functions.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier quality management, supplier development, auditing, corrective action processes, and quality systems compliance.
  • Experience managing incoming inspection programs, inspection strategies, sampling methodologies, nonconformance management, and risk-based quality controls.
  • Demonstrated expertise in engineering drawing interpretation, GD&T, metrology, calibration systems, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and Gauge R&R.
  • Experience applying Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Capability Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Auditor experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, or equivalent quality management systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively engage internal teams, suppliers, customers, and senior leadership.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
