The role of the Delivery Services Manager is to motivate, direct & guide all colleagues to ensure that the required expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement and service levels are met daily in the most efficient manner practicable and within a safe environment.

As a Delivery Services Manager, you will represent An Post Commerce Final Mile Operations to the communities we serve, as well as to other An Post departments, in a professional and proficient manner.

This role involves regularly reviewing the sites’ performance to understand & implement any required improvements. You will support each implementation by effectively communicating with all relevant colleagues ensuring appropriate action and engagement.

Responsibilities

The principal responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • A dedication to continuous improvement to ensure an efficient and cost-effective operation by actively managing your team, your colleagues, your fleet and other resources
  • Drive a culture of customer obsession, striving for excellent customer service and the achievement of business quality targets
  • Maintain and promote high standards in Workplace Health & Safety to support a safe working environment for all colleagues & customers
  • Encourage and recognise a culture of best practice and knowledge sharing amongst your Team
  • Utilise all available data including delivery metrics to drive performance of your office
  • Champion the Sustainability agenda at Delivery Service Unit level to ensure that Company targets are achieved
  • Be a role model, mentor and an An Post advocate to our employees, our customers and our communities
  • Develop and maintain constructive and collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes
  • Demonstrate An Post values and behaviours in your day-to-day work and address behaviour that supports/conflicts with them

Qualifications

You will bring a minimum of five years' leadership experience, ideally supported by a qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline. You will be an effective communicator who can build strong relationships with both the teams you lead and key stakeholders across the business. A full driver's licence free of endorsements is required, and experience working in a unionised environment would be an advantage.

You will approach the role with enthusiasm, commitment, and energy, demonstrating a positive outlook and a growth mindset. You will be adaptable to change, resilient in the face of challenges, and resourceful in finding practical solutions. In addition, you will have the ability to interpret and utilise data effectively to support informed decision-making and drive operational performance.

Hours of Attendance

The role requires a 5-day attendance over 6 days (Monday to Saturday), with a standard weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.

Salary

Salary range starting from €65,476 per annum.

Placement within the advertised salary range will be determined based on the successful candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications and alignment with the role requirements.
