Requirements:

  • Solid hands-on experience with WordPress theme development and customization
  • Experience migrating or decoupling headless/JAMstack front-ends back into native WordPress
  • Strong understanding of WordPress SEO best practices (meta tags, schema markup, site speed, indexing)
  • Experience working with SEO and other WordPress plugins, including compatibility troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with plugins for LLM/AI file generation (e.g., llms.txt) is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and deliver a clear action plan alongside implementation

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the current blog architecture and its dependencies on the external frontend
  • Select or develop a WordPress theme that matches current design and structural requirements
  • Configure the theme and styling to match existing design guidelines
  • Ensure correct SEO functionality after migration (meta tags, schema, page speed, indexing)
  • Set up and verify compatibility with SEO plugins and other required plugins, including LLM/AI file generation plugins
  • Provide recommendations for ongoing support and scalability of the solution
