Job Type: Part-Time | Independent Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support technology initiatives within the healthcare industry. This role will focus on electronic records system transfers, technology migrations, system implementations, and healthcare technology projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience in technology environments, hands-on experience with system migrations or transfers, and previous experience supporting technology projects within healthcare organizations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage healthcare technology projects from initiation through implementation and completion.
  • Manage projects involving electronic records systems transfers, migrations, and implementations.
  • Coordinate technology migration activities, timelines, deliverables, and project dependencies.
  • Collaborate with IT, healthcare operations, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, status reports, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams throughout system migration and technology implementation activities.
  • Support data, system, and electronic record transfer initiatives while ensuring project requirements are met.
  • Facilitate project meetings, track action items, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and support the development of mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Ensure technology initiatives remain aligned with healthcare business and operational objectives.

General Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • Experience managing technology projects and system migrations.
  • Experience with electronic records systems transfers or migrations.
  • Previous experience managing technology projects within healthcare environments.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, IT resources, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, timelines, scope, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment.
  • Healthcare, health plan, medical insurance, or healthcare technology experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must be located in Puerto Rico and authorized to work as an independent contractor.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
  • PMP certification or similar project management certification is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Part-time, remote position.
  • Must be available for scheduled project meetings and consistent communication during agreed working hours.
  • May require occasional virtual collaboration with healthcare, technology, and project stakeholders.
