Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst (SFA), DS MEA, located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Senior Financial Analyst, DS MEA, plays a critical role in tracking the organization's financial performance and contributes to financial communication strategies by leveraging information from various key partners. This role plays a key role in financial forecasting, reporting, and the analysis of complex financial data that will help guide decisions and support strategy setting. This role also plays a key role in coordinating Saudi Arabia-specific processes and projects from a financial standpoint. The position offers high visibility, strong cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to directly impact business performance during a period of transformation and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business partnering

  • Partner with the commercial team to drive profitable growth and support key business decision-making. Build and maintain business partner relationships with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
  • Provide financial insight and analysis to business partners to support better business decisions, including evaluating business cases for tender / pricing / investments.
  • Challenge business assumptions, help develop alternative scenarios, and educate business partners on financial issues, concepts, and ownership.
  • Provide full support for Saudi-specific processes and projects in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Actively participate locally in business planning, budget updates, and latest thinking processes, and continuously improve forecast accuracy (P&L, BS, and CF) through a deep understanding of the MEA business and key projects impacting financials.
  • Provide input into the financial planning process by building and maintaining financial models.
  • Support financial closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Proactively review performance against targets and identify trends to highlight risks and opportunities for early intervention.

Internal Controls

  • Ensure adherence to SOX, WWP, internal policies, and procedures, as well as support compliance activities, including internal and external audits.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
  • MBA or professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) (preferred).

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Typically requires 4 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or operational finance roles.
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with non‑finance stakeholders and influence decision‑making.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to build executive-facing dashboards and reports.

Preferred:

  • Experience within medical devices, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience working with senior leadership and preparing executive‑level materials.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with attention to detail.

Other:

  • Language: English (required); Arabic (preferred).
  • Travel: Up to ~10% domestic or regional travel.
  • Certifications: CPA or equivalent (preferred).
