Job Description

Sopra Steria is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect / Senior Cloud Engineer to support our client in designing, automating, and securing cloud-based platforms and development environments.

The consultant will play a key role in defining cloud architecture, implementing automation solutions, and supporting the adoption of modern DevOps and DevSecOps practices within a complex and international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud solutions.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into robust cloud architectures.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes.
  • Develop and maintain cloud-native services and tooling.
  • Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Contribute to architecture governance, security compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary Agile teams in an international environment.
  • Provide technical expertise and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services (VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
  • Development experience with Python, TypeScript, and/or Node.js.
  • Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Good understanding of networking, security, and system integration concepts.
  • Experience administering Linux and Windows environments.

Nice to Have

  • AWS Solution Architect certification.
  • DevOps or DevSecOps certifications.
  • Azure cloud experience.
  • Experience delivering AI-enabled cloud solutions.

Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Architecture, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
  • Proven experience delivering cloud transformation or modernization projects.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a contractor capacity.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe) is an asset.
