About You and the Role 

As our Engineering Design Manager, you will lead and coordinate engineering design projects, including internal technical inputs, and act as the primary interface with the client-side Project Manager. You will guide and manage the coordination of internal technical streams as required, which may include Primary and Secondary Electrical, SCADA, Control Systems, Civil, among other disciplines.

A key focus for this role will be the design management of multidisciplinary electrical utilities projects.

Key accountabilities of the role include:  

  • Providing a single point of coordination and expertise for internal reporting and client engagement.
  • Working directly with client-side project managers to ensure alignment of objectives and outcomes.
  • Design Managing multidisciplinary Engineering projects
  • Increasing alignment across engineering disciplines and more broadly across Entura.
  • Effectively leading the coordination and integration of technical inputs for programs and projects across the life-cycle.
  • Coordinating the development of scopes, delivery plans etc for multi-disciplinary programs and projects taking a holistic approach and liaising with the technical disciplines required to deliver the programs or projects.

You have experience in the following areas: 

  • Generalist technical understanding across disciplines within engineering design.
  • Strong coordination and facilitation skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong experience in multidisciplinary design management.
  • Experience in the electrical utilities sector
  • Commercial approach and demonstrated project/program management skills.
