Are you an experienced Project Manager with a track record of delivering complex technology projects in large, operational environments?
Airservices Australia is seeking a Project Manager to join the Technology Service Delivery (TSD) Portfolio and play a key role in delivering strategic technology initiatives that support Australia's aviation network. The Role & The Team
Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of an operational technology project, ensuring targeted outcomes, benefits and organisational objectives are achieved.
You will lead project planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, risk management and delivery activities while working closely with executive stakeholders, project boards and portfolio leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of complex operational technology projects from initiation through to implementation and benefits realisation.
- Develop and manage project delivery plans, schedules, budgets, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Monitor project performance, costs and outcomes, ensuring delivery remains aligned to agreed objectives.
- Build and lead high-performing project teams and delivery partners.
- Engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders across the organisation.
- Drive strong governance, reporting, assurance and compliance practices.
- Promote continuous improvement and contribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration and excellence.

The Person
You are an experienced Project Manager who thrives in complex operational technology environments and has a proven track record of leading projects from inception through to successful delivery. You are a collaborative leader with strong stakeholder management skills and a focus on delivering tangible business outcomes.
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, MSP or equivalent).
- Significant experience delivering operational technology projects.
- 7+ years' experience leading operational project delivery or engineering teams in complex environments.
- Strong project delivery expertise across governance, budgeting, risk management, planning and benefits realisation.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage vendors, contractors and delivery partners.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
- Sound commercial acumen, strategic thinking and a focus on achieving outcomes.
- A collaborative, values-based leadership style with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Experience working within engineering, governance, risk, safety and compliance frameworks; public sector experience is advantageous.
- Eligibility to obtain Australian Government and/or Aviation Security Clearances.
