The Role
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Data Scientist to join the Insight practice, a rapidly expanding and strategically important capability within Amplify. This is a consulting‑led role for a senior data scientist who combines deep technical expertise with strong client‑facing skills, translating complex business challenges into secure, scalable, and responsible data‑ and AI‑driven solutions. The role suits individuals who enjoy working at the intersection of advanced analytics, AI innovation, and strategic consulting, particularly within complex, regulated environments.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Data Scientist Consultant, you will work with public sector and enterprise clients to identify high‑value analytics and AI use cases, design and deliver end‑to‑end solutions, and support their operationalisation at scale. You will contribute across the full lifecycle, from discovery and experimentation through to production deployment and capability building, working within multidisciplinary consulting and delivery teams.
What you will do:
- Partner with clients and stakeholders to understand business objectives, identify high‑value AI and analytics use cases, and define clear success measures.
- Design, prototype, validate, and deliver end‑to‑end data science and AI solutions, from discovery through to production.
- Develop and evaluate statistical models, machine learning systems, and Generative AI solutions, including LLM‑based and RAG‑enabled approaches.
- Support the operationalisation of models and AI solutions, including deployment, monitoring, governance, and lifecycle management.
- Translate complex analytical outputs into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to responsible and ethical AI adoption, identifying and mitigating risks related to privacy, security, and safety.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to reusable accelerators, best practices, and Insight capability development.

- Strong Python skills and familiarity with core libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn)
- Deep learning and NLP stacks (PyTorch, HuggingFace Transformers)
- MLOps and model operationalisation
- Responsible AI awareness
Additional Requirements:
- Security clearance (SC / BPSS)
- Pre‑sales contribution experience
- Familiarity with regulated industries
- Awareness of architecture frameworks
