Your role as Product Data Analyst
Dialogue is looking for a Product Data Analyst to take part in our mission to help people improve their wellbeing. Working closely with Vanessa Jones, Director of Product, your role will be to serve as the engine for product decisions, turning complex data into actionable insights that shape product strategy, drive alignment and measure product performance.
Want to join our exceptional multidisciplinary team in an evolving industry? Good news, we saved you a seat!
What you'll be doing
- Drive Product Strategy: Partner closely with the Product team to explore problem areas, uncover behavioral trends, and use data to influence our product roadmap.
- Deliver Actionable Insights: Conduct deep-dive data analyses to guide strategic decision-making, uncover growth opportunities, and translate insight into action.
- Build Data Infrastructure: Collaborate with development teams to design, integrate, and maintain robust analytics tracking, telemetry, and event pipelines across our platforms. As a member of Dialogue's Data Guild, propose and validate data models using data platform tools, and contribute to shared data standards across teams.
- Leverage AI Workflows: Integrate modern AI tools into your daily analysis—focusing your time on problem definition, stakeholder alignment, and insight translation rather than manual tasks.
We'd love to hear from you if you have
- Relevant Experience: 5+ years of experience in a Product Analyst, Data Analyst, or Business Intelligence role within a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Rigor: Deep proficiency with SQL and extensive experience transforming, modeling, and analyzing diverse datasets.
- Data Stack Familiarity: Hands-on experience or familiarity with our tech stack (Snowflake, Metabase, dbt, Evidence) and a strong vision for how to structure data to eliminate measurement gaps.
- Analytical Rigor: Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data points into clear, executive-level stories and strategic recommendations.
- AI-Assisted Workflow: Comfort using AI tools (e.g., LLM-assisted SQL/Python coding, automated data analysis) combined with the critical judgment to stress-test outputs, question assumptions, and validate analytical results at scale.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working within vertically integrated product teams (Data + Product + Development) with a proactive, high-integrity approach to problem-solving.
- Autonomy in Ambiguity: Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-autonomy environment where you define problems as much as you solve them.
- Experimentation Expertise: Strong hands-on experience designing and analyzing A/B tests (hypothesis testing, sample size calculation, statistical significance, and contextual interpretation).
Nice to have:
- Experience working with large-scale event streams and/or conversational data.
- Applied knowledge of advanced product analytics frameworks (e.g., time-series/survival analysis, cohort and retention modeling, or basic causal inference).
- Prior experience working with sensitive data (PI/PHI) in data pipelines and skills/experience with anonymization techniques.
- Familiar with dimensional modelling concepts
