ABOUT THE ROLE:
Whether you're in the heart of Vilnius or anywhere else, you'll join forces with dedicated professionals in the financial sector, working on a leading enterprise treasury platform that supports global banking operations and financial integrations.
This is not a traditional Java development role. Instead, you'll work within a sophisticated treasury system, combining platform configuration with Java-like development to deliver business-critical solutions. The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain expertise in enterprise treasury technology while collaborating with experienced engineers and business specialists. No prior treasury experience is required - we'll provide comprehensive onboarding and domain training. If you enjoy learning new technologies, working with complex enterprise systems, and solving business challenges, this role is for you.
This is a hybrid position based in Vilnius, Lithuania. During the onboarding period, you'll be expected to work from our client's office to receive hands-on training and become familiar with the platform.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Configure and customize a leading enterprise treasury platform to support business and operational requirements.
- Develop enhancements using the platform's proprietary object-oriented programming language, based on Java concepts.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and international development teams to deliver technical solutions.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into platform configuration and custom development.
- Develop and maintain integrations with internal systems and external banking partners.
- Troubleshoot application issues, investigate root causes, and support production environments.
- Prepare, update, and maintain technical and functional documentation.
- Participate in technical discussions, solution design, and continuous platform improvements.
- Learn treasury business processes and financial messaging through structured onboarding and collaboration with experienced domain experts.
WHAT WE EXPECT:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Java or object-oriented software development.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, technologies, and business domains.
- Experience collaborating with international or cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience creating or maintaining technical documentation.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid model and attend on-site onboarding in Vilnius.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with enterprise platforms or configurable business applications.
- Knowledge of treasury, banking, payments, or financial services.
- Experience with system integrations, APIs, or messaging technologies.
- Familiarity with ION Treasury, Wallstreet Suite, Murex, Calypso, Kyriba, Finastra, or similar financial platforms.
