Compensation range: $75,000.00 - $115,000.00 Annually

The base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.

Position Summary

Position Summary

The AV Field Engineer & Event Support Specialist is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of audiovisual (AV) systems used for and in internal corporate meetings, executive events, conferences, webinars, and live productions. This role ensures reliable delivery of AV services, exceptional customer experience, and technical excellence across all event spaces and meeting environments across the various One Workplace locations.

Key Responsibilities

AV Systems Support • Install, configure, test, and maintain audiovisual systems including: o Video conferencing platforms (Microsoft Teams & Zoom) o Digital signage systems o Audio systems, microphones, DSPs, and mixers o Video displays, projectors, LED walls, and switchers o Control systems (Crestron, Extron, QSC) • Perform routine preventative maintenance and health checks on AV equipment. • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related AV issues. • Coordinate repairs, replacements, and vendor support as needed.

Event Support • Provide onsite and remote technical support for: o Executive meetings o Corporate events o Training sessions o Product launches o Hybrid and virtual events o Corporate conferences • Conduct pre-event testing and readiness checks. • Manage live event production, ensuring smooth operation of audio, video, streaming, and presentation systems. • Support presenters with laptops, displays, wireless presentation tools, and conferencing technology.

  • Respond quickly to technical issues during live events and implement effective resolutions.

Field Engineering • Deploy and commission AV equipment across office locations and external event venues. • Perform system integrations, cable management, and equipment rack installations. • Document system configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures. • Assist in AV infrastructure upgrades and technology refresh projects. • Collaborate with internal IT, Facilities, and vendors on AV-related initiatives.

Customer Service & Operations • Serve as the primary technical contact for internal customers before and during events. • Provide training and guidance to end users on conference room technologies. • Maintain inventory of AV equipment and consumables. • Create and update knowledge base articles and support documentation. • Ensure compliance with company safety and operational standards.

Required Qualifications • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Audio Visual Technology, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience accepted. • 3+ years of experience supporting corporate AV environments or technology production/operations teams. • Hands-on experience with video conferencing and collaboration platforms. • Knowledge of AV signal flow, audio systems, video distribution, and control systems. • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues. • Ability to lift and move AV equipment up to 50 lbs. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for event support.

Preferred Qualifications • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification. • Experience with: o Crestron and QSC systems o VC platforms setup o Dante audio networking o NDI video technology o Streaming platforms and webcast solutions • Familiarity with TCP/IP networking concepts. • Experience supporting executive-level events and presentations.
