A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking an Electrical & Control Systems Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for plant electrical systems, automation, instrumentation, and controls. This role drives reliability, modernization, and safe operation across multiple production areas.
- Lead and develop electrical, controls, and automation engineering staff.
- Oversee electrical distribution, motor control, instrumentation, and automation systems.
- Direct PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and industrial network architecture.
- Approve engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Manage capital projects from concept through commissioning.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, ISA, IEEE standards.
- Coordinate contractors, integrators, and equipment suppliers.
- Support reliability improvements, root‑cause analysis, and change management.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years in electrical, automation, or control systems engineering.
- 3+ years of engineering leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, MCCs, VFDs, and instrumentation.
- Experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and industrial networks.
- Proven success leading engineering teams and projects.
Preferred
- PE license.
- Master’s degree in engineering or business.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing or process industries.
- PMP or automation/reliability certifications.
- Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity and Industry 4.0 technologies.
