Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Leadership experience (e.g., people management, team lead, mentorship, coaching).
  • Experience with security technologies or concepts.
  • Experience with technical conversations, demos, prototyping, or workshops with customers.
  • Experience with the adoption of specialized workloads (e.g., Cloud AI, Data Analytics).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Cloud or Security industry certifications.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams (e.g., Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Partner), customers, and partners to impact business goals, customer experience, and customer expansion.
  • Experience as a pre-sales manager or technical customer-facing people manager within a professional services or sales engineering team.
  • Experience with enterprise security solutions such as Fraud Defense and reCAPTCHA.

About the job:

As a Customer Engineering Manager supporting our Google Cloud Fraud Defense services team, you will lead a team responsible for growing our reCAPTCHA business by building and expanding relationships with new and existing customers. You and your team will be trusted advisors to customers and advocates for our reCAPTCHA solutions, providing support to C-Level, Security Leaders and Application Teams. You will ensure they have the selling and technical skill sets needed to lead projects forward. You will support your team in accompanying customers in discovering the technology/solution and consulting around the best way to secure and ensure compliance. You will optimize for your team’s results when in production, leading with empathy, while identifying innovative ways to multiply your impact and the impact of the team as a whole.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. US: $152000 - $221000 (USD) + 42.86% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Develop and maintain a high-performing Customer Engineering team that meets and exceeds quarterly business goals, while building a positive team culture with an eye towards future talent.
  • Support your team’s partnership with reCAPTCHA Sales and Google Cloud teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical and compliance objections, and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Enable your team to demonstrate and validate solution benefits of User Protection Services products in customer/partner environments.
  • Lead a team responsible for technical aspects of solutions, including such activities as supporting reCAPTCHA opportunities, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work and customer relationships.
  • Ensure team prepares and delivers product messaging in an effort to highlight our solutions value proposition using techniques including whiteboard and presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management and RFI response documents.
