What makes this project exciting?

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team and help build and improve an AI-powered platform for code analysis and modernization. You’ll work with complex legacy codebases, using your expertise in Java and modern architectures to reverse engineer existing systems and help transform them into modern, scalable solutions.

This role combines software engineering, AI, and product thinking. You’ll work hands-on with the platform, provide feedback on its capabilities, and help shape new features and workflows for modernizing legacy applications.

What makes you a great fit

• 5 years of full-stack development experience, with strong backend experience in Java.
• Experience working with legacy systems and large or poorly documented codebases.
• Experience with a modern frontend framework, such as React, Vue or Angular.
• Experience with migrations, upgrades or monolith-to-microservices projects.
• Strong testing experience: characterization tests, parity checks, safe refactoring
• Daily use of AI coding tools, with the ability to evaluate their output critically.s.
• At least Upper-Intermediate level of English

Nice to Have:

• Experience with MCP servers or building context for AI agents
• Experience with gradual migration techniques, such as moving functionality piece by piece and switching between old and new code safely
• JavaScript/TypeScript, COBOL or mainframe exposure
• Experience working on client sites or inside a client’s team

Your day-to-day in this position

• Analyze and understand legacy and unfamiliar codebases using the company’s AI-powered platform.
• Validate the platform’s analysis and provide detailed feedback on its results and capabilities.
• Work on code modernization, including migrations, architectural improvements and monolith-to-microservices transformations.
• Use the platform and AI tools to explore how existing systems can be reverse-engineered and forward-engineered.
• Help identify missing functionality and suggest product improvements based on real engineering experience.
• Collaborate closely with the product and engineering teams to improve the process of working with legacy codebases.
