Business Analyst
As a Business Analyst at Kearney, you will be a key contributor to the growth and development of our Product Excellence and Renewal Lab (PERLab), where we offer honest advice and practical guidance to our clients.
PERLab combines Kearney’s operational expertise with world-class product design and proprietary data tools to transform product portfolios. With deep expertise in consumer insights and design, PERLab helps clients improve profitability, reduce complexity and costs, streamline supply chains, and advance their sustainability goals. In partnership with TEAMS, a global strategic design company with expertise in product design, user experience and industrial design, PERLab tears down products, addresses pain points across manufacturing and supply chain processes, and unlocks opportunities to improve margins and operational efficiency throughout the product life cycle.
What you will do
- Conduct research on markets, customers, competitors, products, services, technologies, suppliers and business models.
- Support analyses of products, services, operations, costs, value chains and competitive positioning.
- Build market-sizing models, business cases, analytical exhibits and structured fact bases.
- Work with subject-matter experts to understand technical, operational and market analyses and identify commercial and strategic implications.
- Participate in interviews, team problem-solving sessions and client meetings.
- Develop concise presentations and communicate findings clearly to a range of audiences.
- Build context proactively, test hypotheses, identify inconsistencies and attempt a structured solution before relying on detailed instructions.
- Use feedback and AI as learning accelerators while verifying important outputs and being explicit about what remains uncertain.
What you bring
- 0–2 years of full-time professional experience; relevant internships, co-ops, research or project experience strongly valued.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, economics, analytics, computer science or a related discipline required.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex products, services, technologies or business processes and translate information into practical insights.
- Experience or interest in analytical, research-oriented or problem-solving work through internships, university projects, case competitions, research, student organizations, entrepreneurial activities, data or analytics projects, process-improvement work or similar experiences.
- Strong analytical reasoning, curiosity, research ability and communication skills, with evidence of self-directed learning and ownership.
- Evidence of initiative, teamwork, humility and willingness to learn from feedback; uses AI thoughtfully without mistaking fluent output for expertise.
- Prior management consulting experience is not required.

Compensation range: $106k to $108k
It is important to note that at Kearney, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge and skills. Kearney reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness. In addition to salary, individuals may be eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.
