ETL QA Engineer with GoldenSource platform

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an ETL QA Engineer with GoldenSource platform based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality data and reporting solutions within a technically focused environment. You will be responsible for validating complex ETL processes, data transformations, migrations, and integrations across the data lifecycle. The position combines hands-on SQL expertise with strong data-quality and reconciliation capabilities. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure requirements and transformation rules are accurately implemented. A key focus will be validating GoldenSource data feeds, workflows, and integration processes. The role also provides exposure to financial data, Agile delivery, automation, and modern data platforms.

Accountabilities

• Perform end-to-end ETL and data warehouse testing, validating data migration, transformation, and loading processes.

• Develop and execute SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and investigation of data discrepancies.

• Validate source-to-target mappings, business transformation rules, and overall data integrity.

• Test data warehouse and reporting applications, including regression, data quality, and integration testing.

• Validate GoldenSource data feeds, workflows, and data integration processes across relevant systems.

• Collaborate with ETL developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.

• Prepare test plans, test cases, test scenarios, execution reports, and supporting QA documentation.

• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Quality Center, following issues through resolution.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production validation, and post-release verification activities.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of ETL QA practices, with opportunities to support automation and Agile delivery initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in ETL testing and data warehouse testing.

• Hands-on experience working with the GoldenSource platform, including data feeds, workflows, and integration processes.

• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.

• Proven experience with source-to-target validation and testing of business transformation rules.

• Experience with one or more ETL technologies such as Informatica, Ab Initio, Talend, or SSIS.

• Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands and environments.

• Working knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Quality Center.

• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC processes and structured software testing practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with careful attention to data accuracy and detail.

• Good communication and collaboration skills when working with technical and business stakeholders.

• Experience with financial data domains, ETL test automation, Agile/Scrum projects, or cloud-based data platforms is advantageous.
