Manager / Senior Manager, Supplier Management & Delivery

Full Time, permanent

Location: Australia, preferably Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane

In this role you will play a pivotal role in shaping supplier strategy, leading complex negotiations, and driving commercial performance across key supplier partnerships. This is an opportunity to operate at the intersection of strategy, analytics, innovation, and relationship management, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver measurable business impact while helping shape the future of supplier collaboration at BCD Travel.

As a Manager / Senior Manager, Supplier Management & Delivery, you will

  • Lead the development and execution of supplier management strategies across key supplier categories, ensuring alignment with BCD Travel’s commercial, operational, and strategic priorities.
  • Drive complex commercial negotiations, supplier agreements, incentive programs, and partnership frameworks that maximize value, profitability, and long-term business outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with global and regional supplier partners, fostering collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth.
  • Develop and implement annual and multi-year business plans, translating market intelligence and supplier performance insights into actionable strategies.
  • Oversee supplier performance management through robust governance, scorecards, business reviews, and compliance frameworks, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, Technology, and Commercial teams to align supplier initiatives with broader business objectives.
  • Lead the evaluation of supplier trends, market dynamics, and commercial opportunities, providing strategic recommendations that enhance competitiveness and drive revenue growth.
  • Ensure effective management of financial performance, including supplier income streams, incentive programs, budgets, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
  • Champion digital transformation, automation, and AI-enabled initiatives that enhance supplier engagement, operational efficiency, and commercial performance.
  • Influence senior stakeholders through data-driven insights, strategic storytelling, and executive-level recommendations that support investment and partnership decisions.
  • Contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives related to sustainability, innovation, ESG objectives, and business transformation programs.
  • Represent the Supplier Management & Delivery function in global governance forums, ensuring consistency, best practice sharing, and strategic alignment across regions.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop talent within the function where applicable, building organizational capability and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Person Profile

  • Significant experience in supplier management, procurement, commercial management, or strategic partnerships, ideally within the travel industry.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex negotiations and managing high-value supplier portfolios across regional or global markets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret financial data, identify opportunities, and translate insights into strategic action.
  • Experience developing and executing supplier strategies that improve performance, profitability, and long-term business value.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and gain alignment across senior stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in matrixed and multinational organizations, balancing competing priorities while driving results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using performance metrics, forecasting, and business intelligence to support decision-making.
  • A forward-thinking approach to innovation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience supporting sustainability, ESG, or supplier innovation initiatives would be highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in data visualization, reporting, or business intelligence platforms is advantageous.
  • Fluent English communication skills, with the confidence and credibility to present to executive-level stakeholders.
