Full description

The Gap Partnership is the world's leading negotiation consultancy, helping organisations create sustainable competitive advantage through improved commercial performance, stronger stakeholder alignment and more effective decision-making.

For more than 25 years, we have partnered with many of the world's largest organisations across consumer goods, retail, healthcare, technology, industrials and professional services. We work with executive teams to solve complex commercial challenges, drive organisational change and deliver measurable business impact.

To support with this, we have an exciting opportunity for an additional Data & Insights Analyst to join our growing team. This is a newly created role, reflecting our continued investment in data and insights capabilities and the growing demand for data-driven decision-making across the business.

Data Engineering & Infrastructure Design, build, and maintain data pipelines across our core systems, including Salesforce, NetSuite/OpenAir, and SQL Server, using our Azure Data Factory and Boomi integration platform.

  • Ensure data flows reliably between source systems and reporting layers, with appropriate monitoring, alerting, and documentation in place.
  • Support the ongoing migration of our data infrastructure towards Microsoft Fabric, contributing to architecture decisions as directed by the Head of Data & Insights.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues at source, working with system owners and regional teams to implement durable fixes.
  • Maintain and improve the data models that underpin our reporting layer, including dimensional modelling and incremental load strategies.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Build and maintain incisive, well-designed reports and dashboards in Power BI, tailored to the needs of specific stakeholder groups from operational management through to Executive Leadership.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of The Gap Partnership's commercial model, markets, portfolio, and strategic priorities, applying this knowledge to design analytics that drive actionable insight.
  • Lead the delivery of reporting across key performance domains including Sales Performance, Utilisation, and Cost to Serve, ensuring measures are consistently defined and accurately calculated.
  • Respond to ad-hoc analytical requests from Executive and Management leadership, scoping, prioritising, and delivering outputs in line with agreed business priorities.
  • Present data-led insights clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders, translating complex analysis into concise recommendations.

Data Governance & Quality

  • Support the Data & Insights function in embedding data governance principles across the organisation, working with the Process Champion Network to drive data quality and adoption.
  • Develop and deliver training materials that help colleagues understand performance definitions, data quality responsibilities, and the role of analytics in decision-making.
  • Put in place monitoring approaches that allow regional management to track and maintain data quality within their areas.
  • Identify opportunities for data cleansing and hygiene improvements, making practical recommendations and supporting their implementation.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build effective working relationships with functional and regional peers, understanding their reporting needs and translating them into well-scoped deliverables.
  • Contribute to the Global Community of Practitioners, participating in joint sessions with regions, markets, and key functions to share knowledge and improve data culture.
  • Collaborate with Executive and Management leadership to agree and maintain a consistent reporting cadence across the business.

This is a hybrid data engineering and data analytics role, sitting within the Data & Insights team and reporting directly to the Head of Data & Insights. You will own the end-to-end delivery of data solutions: from building and maintaining the pipelines that move and transform data across our systems, to developing the reports and visualisations that inform decision-making at every level of the business.

Working closely with functional and regional stakeholders, you will translate business questions into analytical outputs that are accurate, timely, and genuinely useful. You will be the primary point of execution within the team, freeing the Head of Data & Insights to focus on longer-term data strategy, governance, and organisational development.

This role suits someone who is equally comfortable writing SQL/Python and building a Power BI dashboard as they are presenting findings to a senior stakeholder. You will need to bring both technical rigour and commercial curiosity to the work.

Skills & Experience Essential

  • Proven experience delivering data analytics or business intelligence solutions that have had a measurable impact on business performance.
  • Strong SQL skills and demonstrable experience building data pipelines and integration workflows.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, and report design for varied audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce and at least one PSA or ERP system, ideally NetSuite or OpenAir.
  • Ability to work with ambiguous requirements, ask the right questions, and deliver outputs that meet the underlying business need.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and a practical approach to data quality and governance.

Desirable

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, or equivalent cloud data integration platforms.
  • Familiarity with Boomi or similar iPaaS tools.
  • Experience working in a professional services, consulting, or multi-regional environment.
  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
