ASRC Federal Agile Decision Sciences LLC is seeking a technical Data & Insights Analyst to support the U.S. Army G-1 mission on the DAMIS program under the CECOM SEC SETA Program. This role is centered on data — analyzing, structuring, transforming, migrating, and validating Army personnel data — and on turning that data into accurate, reliable insight that helps leadership make informed, compliant decisions.

The ideal candidate is a strong data analyst with hands-on database and data-migration experience who can plan and execute moves between disparate data sources without losing integrity or accuracy, design and maintain the schemas and data mappings that modernization depends on, and validate and reconcile the results. The analytics are delivered on the Appian platform; Appian experience is welcome but not required — a strong analyst can learn Appian's reporting side on the job, and ASRC supports rapid Appian credentialing for the selected candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute data migrations between disparate data sources, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and minimal downtime.
  • Analyze, structure, transform, and validate data to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain database schemas, relationships, and data mappings supporting system modernization and integration.
  • Support legacy-to-modern platform migrations end to end — data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Query, optimize, and troubleshoot databases; analyze source and target data to evaluate structure, quality, and completeness.
  • Collect, clean, and interpret datasets within DAMIS and across Army personnel systems, and support integration with external Army systems and enterprise platforms.
  • Build dashboards, visualizations, and reporting on the Appian platform that surface readiness and compliance metrics and actionable insight for Army G-1 leadership.
  • Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement in DAMIS workflows and reporting.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, Scrum Masters, and Army stakeholders to define data requirements and migration strategies and to enable data-driven sprint execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or 4+ additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis.
  • Experience planning and executing data migrations between disparate data sources while ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and minimal downtime.
  • Experience analyzing, structuring, transforming, and validating data to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Experience developing and maintaining database schemas, relationships, and data mappings for system modernization and integration efforts.
  • Experience supporting legacy-to-modern platform data migrations, including data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Database administration experience — querying, performance optimization, and troubleshooting. (MariaDB is the Appian database and is ideal; equivalent database administration experience with other platforms is accepted.)
  • Experience collaborating with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define data requirements and migration strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with the Appian platform (analytics, reporting, Records/Reports). Not required — Appian can be learned on the job, and ASRC supports rapid Appian credentialing.
  • Experience with MariaDB or MySQL administration specifically.
  • Prior DoD or Army data analysis experience.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance (highly desired).
  • Proficiency with SQL and BI/analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Palantir, AI/ML techniques, or predictive analytics.
  • Security+ or related DoD 8570 certification.
  • Familiarity with Agile / DevSecOps delivery.

Security Clearance & Eligibility

This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required DoD Secret security clearance or other authorization(s) within the timeframe required by the applicable contract(s). An active DoD Secret clearance is preferred. U.S. citizenship is required for access to Army systems and facilities. Final clearance and eligibility requirements will be confirmed against the governing task order and verified during the hiring process.
