We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to own our cloud, automation, and reliability strategy. The ideal candidate brings expert scripting, deep multi-cloud experience (AWS primary; Azure/GCP), infrastructure-as-code mastery, container-platform ownership, mature observability and security posture, and a solid understanding of modern data technologies. This is a hands-on leadership role: setting standards, driving architecture, and mentoring the team.
This role requires strong architectural judgement, the ability to lead automation and platform initiatives end-to-end, and the capability to raise engineering standards across application, infrastructure, and data layers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own DevOps, platform, and cloud strategy and architecture
- Lead the design of scalable, resilient, and secure systems
- Set and govern standards for IaC, CI/CD, observability, and security
- Architect and govern Jenkins CI/CD across multiple teams
- Drive container-platform strategy across Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
- Own AWS security posture and compliance
- Guide data-platform infrastructure — Lakehouse / Warehouse / Databricks and BI (QuickSight / Power BI)
- Champion AIOps and observability maturity
- Lead FinOps governance and cost strategy
- Mentor and grow senior and junior engineers
Required Skills:
- Strong scripting in Python and/or Bash
- Deep, architecture-level, hands-on AWS (or Azure); multi-cloud fluency
- IaC mastery with Terraform and/or Ansible
- Expertise designing and governing Jenkins CI/CD pipelines; Git
- Production ownership of Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
- Mature, hands-on experience with observability frameworks and SRE practices
- Strong ownership of security posture practices on AWS
- Good understanding of Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Databricks, QuickSight, and Power BI
- Advanced routing, Transit Gateways, Site-to-Site VPN, Client VPN
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration
