The manager is responsible for overseeing daily mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring equipment readiness, and implementing reliability strategies at the terminal. Key responsibilities
- Supervises and directs daily activities to ensure adherence to policies and operating procedures set out by global team
- Execution of Routine / Preventive / Breakdown maintenance of equipments.
- Providing on-time maintenance either directly or through contractors of equipment in terminal.
- Routine inspections on equipments and corrective actions thereafter.
- Attend to breakdowns and fault diagnosis and correction on equipments.
- Providing trouble shooting expertise and carrying out repairs
- Ensuring the readiness of all equipments in ports
- To coordinate with Safety Manager to resolve Safety based issues
- To prepare & follow up Purchase requisition
- To coordinate and follow up with Purchase Officer on matters regarding Spare Part Supply
- Conduct Engineering studies to collect data on major causes of failure and Root Cause Analysis to predict plant/system equipment performance.
- Create an Action plan to minimize failures and implement the same
- Check completed job checklist including safety checks and rectify defects
- Ensure proper documentation and also plan regular maintenance of Fire Safety / Fire Pump
- Conduct on-time Buddy training and internal training to keep skills current
- Conduct detailed investigations for workplace incidents and injuries
- Contribute for the monitoring and reduction of the waste.
- Planning of the Preventive maintenance jobs.
- Preparation of monthly reports and assist budgeting
- Generating, segregating & compiling various data for Trend analysis.
- Follow the safety norms of the company and contribute in improving the standards
- Upkeep of workshop on regular basis.
- Follow up with OEM / Vendors for regular & warranty jobs.
- To carry out periodic dock safety inspection & certification of all equipments.
- RA and SOP review / modify.
- Controlling Equipment repair and maintenance cost & Ensure fixed cost are converted in to variable
- Ensure & innovate Energy saving projects.
- Assisting New equipments purchase
- Knowledge on civil work
- Adopt equipment Reliability framework.
- Adhere to Engineering Global KPI
- Strictly follow statutory compliance and Global engineering Policy
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- B.E / B.Tech – Mechanical
- At least 8-10 years of experience in a relevant sector
- Good interpersonal skills, time management, relationship building, delegation, planning and problem solving skills
- Ability to handle crisis and emergencies and work under stress
- Up to date with latest technology
