We are actively looking for a BI Analyst to join our Operations Excellence team and help turn operational data into clear, actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and working with data from a data warehouse. This role will focus on building reports and dashboards, identifying and tracking key performance indicators, analyzing trends, and communicating findings to business and operational stakeholders. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with operations, business leaders, and technical teams to improve decision-making and drive performance.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and support business intelligence reports and dashboards using Tableau and Power BI.
  • Use SQL to pull, organize, and analyze data from data warehouse and database sources.
  • Translate business questions into reporting requirements and data analysis that supports operational decision-making.
  • Build and improve dashboards, recurring reports, metrics views, and other analytical tools for business users.
  • Perform deep-dives and root cause analysis to answer business questions.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define key metrics, reporting needs, and trusted data sources.
  • Effectively communicate (written and verbal) solutions and methodologies to senior leadership.
  • Work with technical teams to understand data availability, improve reporting accuracy, and support reliable data warehouse use.
  • Complete ad hoc data retrieval and analysis.
  • Monitor existing metrics, develop and propose new metrics, and identify new, actionable risk signals.

Education and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting business data using SQL.
  • Experience creating reports and dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI.
  • Experience working with data warehouse sources to support reporting, analysis, and business intelligence needs.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into clear, usable reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Comfortable validating data, troubleshooting report issues, and explaining findings to non-technical audiences.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency with SQL and business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of data warehouse concepts and experience using data to support business operations, performance tracking, and decision-making.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients. Some travel may be required.
