The Head of Customer Platforms (Salesforce) leads the strategy, governance, performance and evolution of Bunnings’ customer technology ecosystem. Accountable for the Salesforce platform landscape, including CRM, Service Cloud, Data Cloud and Loyalty, the role partners with Customer, Marketing, Digital and Technology leaders to deliver customer-focused technology outcomes.
As a member of the Technology Leadership Team, and reporting to the General Manager, Customer and Sales - this role balances strategic investment, operational excellence, platform modernisation and team leadership while overseeing a technology budget of approximately $18M and a team of 25 professionals.
Key Accountabilities
- Define and execute the Customer Platforms strategy and roadmap aligned to business priorities.
- Own and optimise the Salesforce ecosystem and customer technology stack.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to prioritise investments, manage demand and drive customer outcomes.
- Lead platform governance, architecture, security, reliability and operational performance.
- Manage vendor partnerships, commercial negotiations and budget accountability.
- Lead, develop and inspire high-performing engineering, platform and delivery teams.
- Drive innovation, platform modernisation and continuous improvement.
Key Skills & Experience
- Deep expertise across Salesforce CRM, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, Loyalty and customer engagement technologies.
- Proven leadership of large technology, engineering or platform teams.
- Strong commercial acumen, including significant budget and vendor management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
- Experience delivering customer-centric technology solutions within complex enterprise environments.
