Benefits
Full description
- Do you want to develop products and services that help protect people, property and critical functions around the clock? As Product Manager for Smart Alarms, you will turn customer needs, market insight and technical possibilities into strong solutions and bring them successfully to market across Europe.
AddSecure is strengthening its Smart Alarms product team, and we are looking for a Product Manager in Stockholm who enjoys combining product development, customer insight and commercial thinking with a hands-on understanding of technology.
AddSecure is a leading European provider of secure IoT connectivity and end-to-end solutions. We help customers optimise operations, create business value, and secure vital functions. Our solutions are used in buildings, alarms, transport and logistics, personal safety, elderly care, construction, municipalities, schools, rescue services, power grids, retail and more.
Within our Smart Alarms business, we provide secure solutions for monitored alarm transmission and reliable crisis communication, supporting organisations and emergency teams when it matters most.
About the job
As Product Manager, you will own and develop a portfolio at the heart of our alarm signaling business, spanning lift alarm services, fire and intrusion alarm services, and new products and services brought to market.
You will be responsible for understanding customer and market needs, shaping the roadmap and working closely with R&D to develop solutions that create clear customer value. You will also play an important role in bringing products successfully to market through positioning, packaging, pricing and go-to-market activities.
This is a hands-on product role. Particularly within lift alarms and integrations with third-party products, you will work closely with the technology, testing and verifying solutions to understand how they perform in practice.
You will report to the Product Director for Smart Alarms and work in an international team of Product Managers, close to Sales, Marketing, R&D, Operations and our country teams.
AddSecure works according to a 3/2 hybrid model. You work from the office a minimum of three days per week and remotely up to two days, with Telefonplan in Stockholm as your base and the option to work from other AddSecure offices. The role involves some travel, mainly to our offices, customers and partners across Europe.
What you will do
- Own and develop the roadmap for your portfolio, translating customer needs, market insight and technical opportunities into clear priorities.
- Grow and develop our lift alarm, fire and intrusion alarm offerings and identify opportunities for new products, services and markets.
- Work closely with R&D throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and requirements to testing, launch and continuous improvement.
- Lead the market introduction of new products and services together with Sales, Marketing, Operations and country teams, including positioning, packaging, pricing, sales enablement and launch material.
- Build strong relationships with customers and partners and use their feedback to shape existing and future solutions.
- Set prices within agreed guardrails and support the development and maintenance of price lists across our markets.
- Follow revenue, margin, adoption and other relevant product performance indicators and use the insights to support priorities and business cases.
- Drive digital initiatives related to the portfolio, including customer-facing tools and solutions used to install and commission products.
- Represent AddSecure at relevant trade fairs and industry events and bring market insight back into the product roadmap.
About you
You are a hands-on Product Manager who enjoys being close to both customers and technology. You are curious about how products work in practice and comfortable moving between technical discussions, customer needs and business priorities.
You can create structure in a complex environment, make decisions based on incomplete information and bring different stakeholders together around clear product priorities. You are also comfortable taking products all the way from idea and development to launch and continuous improvement.
We believe you have:
- At least 3 years of experience in product management, product ownership or a similar role within B2B technology.
- Experience working with technically complex products or services, ideally within alarms, security, connected hardware or other safety-critical environments.
- Experience taking hardware, software or connected services from development to market.
- Strong product and commercial judgement, with the ability to balance customer value, technical feasibility and business impact.
- The ability to work effectively across R&D, Sales, Marketing, Operations and international teams.
- Technical fluency to work confidently with connected hardware, software and cloud services, together with a willingness to test and understand products hands-on.
- Experience engaging directly with customers and partners and translating their needs into product priorities and requirements.
- A relevant academic background or equivalent professional experience.
- Fluent English, spoken and written.
It would be valuable if you also have:
- Professional Swedish or another Nordic language.
- Familiarity with European alarm standards such as EN 50131, EN 54, EN 81-28 or EN 50136.
- Experience from IoT connectivity, telecom or SaaS.
- Experience working through channel partners such as distributors, wholesalers or installers.
- Experience working across several European markets.
