Regional Inventory Program Manager – (Warehouse & Data Center), APAC
Position Summary
The Regional Inventory Program Manager – (Warehouse Operations), APAC holds a key leadership and analytical role in governing regional logistics, inventory control, and data integrity across regional Spoke Warehouses supporting Cloud Logistics in APAC (Australia, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, and Indonesia).
Combining operational program management with advanced business analytics, this role is responsible for maintaining high inventory accuracy standards, managing WMS-to-ERP system deltas, monitoring key performance indicators (OTS, OTIF, IFD, WH Utilization), developing BigQuery/Looker Studio dashboards, and leading Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) for operational discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1. Inventory Governance, Cycle Counting & Accuracy
- Oversee system-generated (ABC logic) and manual cycle count processes across all regional spoke warehouses.
- Enforce strict separation of duties across counting passes and supervisor audits.
- Drive site execution to meet established regional accuracy targets for first-pass counts, audit counts, and High-Risk Inventory (HRI).
- Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations for count discrepancies exceeding established value thresholds, all HRI items, or upon client request within defined SLAs.
- Manage specialized inventory controls including Expiry Date Controlled Inventory (FEFO allocation), battery expiration workflows, packaging consumption, re-sealing standards, and HRI cage security.
2. Metric Monitoring, Data Analysis & Business Intelligence
- Oversee the accuracy and reporting integrity of regional warehouse KPIs, including On-Time Shipping (OTS), On-Time In Full (OTIF), In-Full Delivery (IFD), Dock-to-Stock, and Warehouse Utilization.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data dashboards using Looker Studio and BigQuery to provide actionable operational insights to leadership.
- Build automated scripts (AppScript/SQL) to streamline data extraction, perform shrink analysis, and validate data against official sources of truth.
- Prepare and present data-driven operational performance packs for Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly Business Reviews (WBRs, MBRs, QBRs) with client and 3PL leadership.
3. System Delta & Reconciliation Management
- Identify, track, and resolve system deltas (quantity discrepancies between Warehouse Management Systems like DSV JDA/gWMS and SAP S/4HANA using the SAP Inventory Reconciliation App.
- Maintain and update the APAC Regional Delta Logs on a daily cadence to ensure multi-system synchronization.
- Audit historical transaction logs, material movements, and S/4HANA Material Documents to resolve complex inventory mismatches.
4. Inventory Moves, Adjustments & Excess Sweeps
- Govern inventory status changes, attribute updates (expiry date, Country of Origin), and location transfers across sites.
- Enforce multi-eye authorization controls (four-eyes principle) for all inventory adjustments exceeding defined site approval thresholds.
- Manage Stock Owner Changes (SOC) and Project Code transitions (e.g., MAIN, Research, Quarantine, Scrap, and Remarket).
- Direct the excess inventory sweep program to transfer surplus stock from Spokes to Central Hubs aligned with site utilization criteria.
5. Operational Ticketing & Resource Management
- Support site teams in resolving operational tickets within designated turnaround times.
- Oversee tool room inventory, non-GPN part stocking levels, and material movement tracking to ensure optimal part availability.
Systems, Technical & Analytics Proficiency
- WMS & ERP Systems: gWMS, SAP S/4HANA (Inventory Overview, Transactions, Reconciliation App).
- Data Analytics & BI: BigQuery, SQL, Looker Studio, AppScript.
- Tracking & Operational Dashboards
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field.
- Extensive professional experience in regional inventory management, contract logistics, or supply chain business analytics across multi-country networks.
- Technical proficiency in SQL, BigQuery, and Looker Studio with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize dashboards.
- Broad understanding of core supply chain metrics (OTS, OTIF, IFD, Dock-to-Stock, Reverse Logistics, Shrinkage, Cycle Counting).
- Hands-on experience with WMS/ERP platforms (JDA, gWMS, SAP) and conducting structured root-cause analysis (RCCA).
