Java & Angular Developer – Spring, REST APIs & SQL

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a Java and Angular professional with at least 5+ years of experience in Java software development. The role will develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based applications and systems while contributing to Angular-based user interfaces and full-stack solutions. The position will support business objectives by delivering clean, maintainable, scalable, and reliable software; collaborating with cross-functional teams; resolving technical issues; and applying current Java, Angular, web development, and software engineering practices.

Software Requirements

Required

• Strong knowledge of Java and the Java EE platform.

• Experience using Java 8 or later and current supported Java versions, based on project requirements.

• Experience with Angular and TypeScript for web application development.

• Experience with web development frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or JSF.

• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.

• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.

• Experience with version control systems such as Git.

• Understanding of RESTful web services.

• Experience with software development lifecycle practices, including design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and support.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop, enhance, test, and maintain Java-based applications, RESTful services, Angular interfaces, and related system components.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through Agile meetings, requirement discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and delivery planning.

• Investigate and resolve technical issues, contribute to project deliverables, document changes, and support application releases and maintenance.

• Make implementation decisions within established technical standards, escalate risks when required, and recommend improvements to code quality, performance, security, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.

• At least 5+ years of experience in Java software development, including relevant experience with Angular or full-stack web application development.

• Certifications in Java, Angular, cloud computing, Agile, software architecture, or related technologies are preferred but not mandatory unless required for a project.

• Complete Synechron-required training related to information security, data protection, software development standards, and responsible technology use.

• Maintain continuous professional development in Java, Angular, web development, cloud technologies, databases, security, testing, and Agile delivery.
