Group Details
This role will sit within the RegTech team, as part of the Global Compliance Group, and report to the RegTech Data SME.
The role will support the day-to-day operations of RegTech data driven processes, with a particular focus on reporting reconciliation monitoring, investigation and issue resolution. The successful candidate will work closely with Compliance, Technology and Business teams to ensure that RegTech data-related projects are analysed and implemented effectively.
Job Responsibilities
- To develop, maintain, and support data quality rules in Collibra DQ, as well as drive and support integrations between platforms (for example, Collibra DQ and Collibra Data Intelligence Platform).
- Monitor and support day-to-day data-quality processes across Compliance applications.
- Experience: 5- 10 yrs
- Execute and maintain data-quality rules in Collibra DQ.
- Extract, analyse and validate data using all available tools.
- Investigate data issues, identify root causes and coordinate their resolution with relevant teams.
- Support data reconciliations, testing and validation of system or data changes.
- Assist with Python-based automation of data checks and operational processes.
- Maintain procedures, data definitions and other operational documentation supporting RegTech initiatives.
- Support RegTech projects by gathering and documenting data requirements.
- Produce regular reporting on data-quality issues, trends and outstanding actions.
Skills Required
- Experience in data quality, data operations, data governance or a similar role within financial services.
- Strong SQL skills and experience analysing large datasets.
- Experience using Snowflake or a similar data platform.
- Experience with Collibra DQ, Collibra or comparable data-quality tools.
- Working knowledge of Python or another scripting language.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to investigate issues thoroughly and clearly document findings.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with both business and technical teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and follow issues through to resolution.
- Familiarity with financial markets, regulatory reporting or other RegTech processes would be beneficial but is not required.
- Key Outcomes
- Role scope: Data Analyst embedded in the RegTech team, supporting regulatory technology projects across three pillars — RegTech for Business, RegTech for Compliance, and Advisory (ad hoc only).
- Primary tools: Snowflake, Collibra DQ, and SQL
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience supporting data quality, data governance, or regulatory reporting in financial services.
