Anton Paar France is the French subsidiary of the Austrian Anton Paar Group, which has been specializing for more than 100 years in the development and manufacture of high-precision measurement and analytical instruments.

Our solutions support laboratories, research centers and industrial companies across a wide range of sectors, including food, polymers, pharmaceuticals and chemicals.

Following the acquisition of Brabender GmbH in 2023, Anton Paar has expanded its expertise in material characterization and processing, particularly in extrusion and compounding technologies.

As part of the continued development of the Brabender product range in France, we are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer (m/f/d) on a 12-month fixed-term contract to develop our business and support our customers across Southern France.

Job Description

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the Brabender product range within your territory, combining technical expertise with a strong commercial approach.

You will identify customer needs, provide technical advice and recommend the most appropriate solutions for their applications.

Your Main Responsibilities :

  • Develop sales of the Brabender product range across Southern France;
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer portfolio;
  • Analyze customers’ technical and application requirements;
  • Recommend tailored solutions in the fields of extrusion and compounding;
  • Present our solutions and conduct technical equipment demonstrations;
  • Provide first-level technical support to customers;
  • Support customers throughout their projects and build strong, long-term business relationships;
  • Manage and follow up on sales opportunities within your territory;
  • Work closely with Anton Paar France’s sales, application and technical teams;
  • Collaborate with the Brabender teams in Germany to provide the best solutions for our customers and contribute to achieving sales objectives.

These responsibilities are based on the technical and commercial scope of the original Brabender position.

Qualifications

You have a higher education degree in science or engineering, ideally in materials science, polymers, plastics engineering or a related field.

You ideally have at least 3 years of technical experience in material testing and/or quality control.

You also bring :

  • A strong interest in technical sales and customer relations;
  • The ability to understand complex customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently;
  • A proactive, customer-oriented mindset;
  • Professional English proficiency, essential for working with our international teams;
  • A valid driving licence.

Location & Travel :

The position covers Southern France and involves regular travel to customers and prospects throughout the territory.

To ensure efficient coverage of the region, the successful candidate should ideally be based in Lyon or the surrounding area.

Occasional travel to other parts of France and abroad, particularly for internal training, will also be required. The original position includes travel throughout France and occasional international travel.

The compensation package will be determined according to the candidate’s experience and profile and will include :
