Business Analyst.
The Business Analyst works closely with cross-functional leaders to turn business needs into scalable reporting solutions that support performance improvement and strategic decision-making. This role manages the sales opportunity pipeline, develops and maintains sales campaign tools and trackers, prepares business performance reports and presentations, supports contract management schedules and flow-downs to business units, assists with new product introductions, and contributes to ad hoc analytical projects. The position is also responsible for maintaining, developing, and optimizing AAR Component Services' business intelligence environment, with a focus on DOMO tools. The Business Analyst will report to the VP of Global Sales with no direct reports.
What you will be responsible for:
- Develop tools, trackers, and processes to support contract management, campaign tracking, business analytics, and reporting.
- Support the broader business development team with data, charts, metrics, and presentations.
- Design, build, adapt, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in DOMO.
- Automate recurring data processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Apply data warehousing principles to create scalable, reliable reporting structures.
- Manage user access, permissions, and data security in alignment with AAR governance standards.
- Resolve data quality issues, system performance concerns, and integration challenges.
- Serve as the primary DOMO support contact for Component Services.
- Create and maintain documentation for dashboards, data sources, and data processes.
- Develop training materials and lead sessions that expand self-service analytics capabilities across the organization.
- Promote data literacy and consistent reporting standards.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, statistics, data science, or a related field.
- Three to Five plus years of experience in business analytics, data analysis, BI reporting, or business intelligence development.
- Hands-on DOMO experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in aerospace, aviation services, or manufacturing is a plus.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing principles.
- Proficiency with DOMO tools, including Magic ETL, Dataflows, Beast Modes, Workbench, and governance features.
- Experience with other BI tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
- Ability to translate technical data concepts into clear business insights.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to support cross functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across sales, finance, IT, and leadership teams.
