Senior Project Manager (Remote)

Position Summary:
As a member of the PMO, The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional initiatives that support strategic, operational, and technology priorities across the organization. This role drives end-to-end project execution through disciplined planning, governance, stakeholder alignment, and risk management to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with business objectives.
What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of complex projects across business and technology functions.
- Develop and maintain detailed project artifacts such as project charters, stakeholder registries, communications plans, RAIDD logs, and project plans support successful delivery.
- Define project scope, objectives, success measures, and deliverables in partnership with business owners and functional leaders.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, ensuring mitigation plans are defined and tracked.
- Drive project execution with accountability for schedule adherence, issue resolution, and overall delivery performance.
- Ensure project outcomes align with organizational priorities, PMO standards, and operational readiness requirements.
Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Partner with business leaders, operational teams, technology teams, and external vendors to align expectations and drive decisions.
- Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, steering discussions, and executive updates with clear and concise communication.
- Prepare and deliver regular reporting on project health, milestone progress, key risks, financial impacts, and decision needs.
- Escalate issues appropriately and influence stakeholders to resolve barriers and maintain momentum.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships that support collaboration, accountability, and successful change adoption.
PMO Process Improvement & Leadership:
- Champion consistent use of PMO tools, templates, methodologies, and reporting practices across assigned projects.
- Mentor project managers and provide guidance on best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO standards, dashboards, templates, and project intake or prioritization processes.
- Support portfolio visibility by maintaining accurate project records, status reporting, and dependency tracking for leadership review.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and delivery excellence across the project landscape.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or other relevant education and experience as determined by the company.
- 5+ years of project management experience in a healthcare environment.
- Proven ability to manage large cross-functional teams and complex initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with versatility and flexibility effectively in a loosely defined environment.
- Experience using project management software, such as Smartsheet, Jira, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Certification
