Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Develop end-to-end functionalities on a cloud-based (AWS) big data platform, focused on data analysis and processing.
  • Actively participate in discussions regarding the architecture of the functionality, as well as defining the necessary data flows and processes to be created.
  • Create proof of concepts (PoCs).
  • Develop production versions, test them, deploy to the cloud across development, quality assurance, and production environments, monitor initial operation, and perform debugging / ongoing maintenance and enhancements.
  • Document the functionalities developed.
  • Provide support for data extraction and exploratory data analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Skills

  • Degree in Computer Science or in similar areas.
  • Experience with Python, particularly in data manipulation and processing.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience in programming and debugging.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Athena, EC2, Glue, CDK / CloudFormation, Step Functions, Batch, Fargate, etc.).
  • Experience developing applications and/or working in production environments.
  • Proactivity and initiative.
  • Fluent in English - written and spoken (mandatory).
