We are responsible for Cyber & Information Security Governance across Erste Group Bank AG and its local and international subsidiaries, helping to ensure a consistent and effective security framework throughout the organization. Our team works closely with stakeholders across the Group to support governance processes, risk management, regulatory compliance, and security reporting. We continuously improve cybersecurity operations by enhancing data quality, streamlining workflows, and implementing scalable automation solutions. Through innovation, collaboration, and the use of modern technologies, including secure AI-assisted workflows, we help strengthen the Group’s cybersecurity capabilities and resilience.
Your Tasks
- Develop and maintain simple automation workflows for cyber security teams using e.g.
Power Automate and related Microsoft Power Platform components.
- Create and improve Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations for security governance, control monitoring, and management reporting.
- Support the automation of recurring cyber security processes such as evidence collection, task tracking, reporting cycles, data preparation, and stakeholder follow-ups.
- Use basic Python scripts, connectors, APIs, and structured data formats such as Excel, CSV, and JSON to support data processing and integration tasks.
- Help design controlled AI-assisted workflows, including prompt templates and structured outputs, using approved tools such as ChatGPT or equivalent enterprise AI services.
- Collaborate with security governance colleagues, engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into implementation steps.
- Document created solutions, test automations, support handover, and contribute to continuous improvement of cyber security processes.
- Analyze existing data-quality and end-to-end processes, identity opportunities to streamline and optimize.
Your Background
- Completed or ongoing studies at a University or University of Applied Sciences, preferably with a background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Cyber Security, or a comparable field.
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power BI and Power Automate. Power Apps, Dataverse, and connectors are a plus.
- Hands-on knowledge of Python and willingness to use it for practical automation, data preparation, or integration tasks.
- Familiarity with data analytics, IT environments and architecture, versioning tools (such as GIT/SVN/BitBucket), data processing, reporting, and dashboard design.
- Interest in cyber security, security governance, risk management, or operational security workflows.
- Understanding of AI prompt usage and willingness to work with AI-assisted automation in a secure and compliant way.
- Good understanding of requirements and ability to translate them into clear, practical implementation steps.
- Good communication skills in English to support local and international cooperation. German is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a structured working style.

- Salary for your internship: €2,660.50 gross per month based on full-time employment (excluding mandatory FH internships).
