The brand’s products feature premium skin-loving ingredients and technologies such as guava fruit extract, blue algae, chamomile, glycerin and niacinamide, and all products are proudly cruelty-free. For Milani, what’s inside matters, which is why every product is made with ingredients worthy of the consumers who wear them.

Summary
Milani Cosmetics is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to shape key brand expression across retail, packaging, and the broader physical consumer experience. This role is ideal for a conceptual, systems-minded designer who can translate creative and art direction into distinctive design, develop compelling merchandising and packaging concepts, and build thoughtful frameworks that create consistency across retailers, formats, categories, and environments.
You are comfortable developing key visuals and defining how they flex across in-store environments, product launches, retailers, and channels. You bring strong visual judgment, systems thinking, and hands-on production knowledge, with the ability to protect creative intent from initial concept through final execution.
Reporting to the Art Director and partnering closely with the Executive Creative Director, you will translate brand and campaign strategy into compelling visual ideas with a clear point of view across typography, imagery, color, composition, hierarchy, and product storytelling. You will also provide clear creative guidance and quality control to production designers and external partners across Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and print production.
Responsibilities
Key Art, Brand & Systems
· Partner with Art Director to develop and extend campaign key art and launch concepts across retail applications
· Help define Milani’s evolving brand identity and translate it into a recognizable physical brand experience
· Build scalable design systems across retailers, fixture sizes, categories, launches, and evergreen programs
· Establish cohesive frameworks for typography, imagery, color, hierarchy, product communication, and retailer adaptations while maintaining an editorial visual approach
· Help develop and evolve visual merchandising guidelines, templates, and standards that improve consistency and efficiency
Visual Merchandising & Retail Design
· Develop elevated visual merchandising concepts and systems across fixtures, displays, launches, signage, product navigation, and promotional environments
· Translate brand and campaign strategy into compelling physical retail experiences that strengthen storytelling, hierarchy, navigation, and shopability
· Adapt creative intelligently across retailer-specific formats and constraints while maintaining brand consistency
· Lead retail programs from concept and visualization through final production
· Create polished retail mockups and presentations that clearly communicate creative intent
Brand Systems & Production Design Leadership
· Own work from concept through production, balancing creative ambition with retail, print, and fabrication requirements
· Prepare accurate production-ready files, including dielines, mechanicals, dimensions, imagery, color specifications, and final artwork
· Brief, direct, and partner with production designers on rollout work, providing clear design guidance, templates, examples, feedback, and final approvals.
· Review proofs, prototypes, and production outputs to ensure creative intent and quality are maintained
· Contribute to broader physical brand initiatives—including packaging systems and print collateral—as needed
Collaboration & Ownership
· Partner cross-functionally across Creative, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and Production
· Clearly present and articulate design thinking and creative decisions
· Manage multiple complex projects and shifting priorities without compromising quality
· Maintain organized workflows, project files, timelines, and approvals using Monday.com and related tools
· 6+ years of relevant design experience with demonstrated senior-level ownership across visual merchandising, retail, environmental, experiential, or integrated brand programs
· Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
· Exceptional portfolio demonstrating sophisticated visual merchandising, retail design, and campaign/key artwork
· Demonstrated ability to create scalable visual systems, not simply individual executions
· Exceptional visual judgment across typography, composition, color, photography, hierarchy, and product storytelling
· Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to develop ideas and execute established creative direction
· Deep knowledge of retail and print production, including fixtures, displays, dielines, materials, fabrication, and mechanicals
· Understanding of shopper behavior and how design influences navigation, storytelling, and shopability
· Ability to move fluidly from concept and design systems through adaptation and final production
· Highly detail-oriented with strong organization, communication, and production accuracy
· Beauty, fashion, luxury, lifestyle, entertainment, retail, or culturally relevant consumer brand experience preferred
Additional Strengths
· Retail fixture, print, and fabrication vendor experience
· Development of visual merchandising or retail brand guidelines
· Packaging graphics and packaging systems
· 3D visualization, rendering, or environmental design tools
