Full description

Horizon Farm Credit is actively recruiting for a Full Stack Analytics Developer, internally referred to as a Business Intelligence Analyst, to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys combining application development, business intelligence, analytics, and user experience design to deliver solutions that drive efficiency and business value.

In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, data professionals, and technology teams, the Full Stack Analytics Developer will build scalable applications, develop data models and reporting solutions, create intuitive user experiences, and support the organization's growing data-driven culture. The hours of operation are typically, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position is eligible for hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities Application Development

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web-based business applications.
  • Create front-end user interfaces using modern development frameworks and best practices.
  • Develop back-end services, APIs, and integrations to support business processes.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues while continuously improving performance and usability.

Data & Analytics

  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions.
  • Design and support data models that enable efficient reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence teammates, analysts, and business teams to understand and fulfill reporting requirements.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across solutions.

Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and visual analytics solutions.
  • Create meaningful visualizations that help users identify trends, insights, and opportunities.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable metrics and performance indicators.
  • Support users with report enhancements and ongoing analytics needs.

User Experience (UX) Design

  • Design intuitive and user-friendly application interfaces.
  • Conduct user research and gather feedback to improve usability.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and workflow designs for new applications.
  • Apply UX and accessibility best practices to improve user adoption and satisfaction.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Document technical solutions, processes, and development standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, development tools, and analytics capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Generally, 0 to 5 years of experience in software development, analytics, business intelligence, or related technical roles.
  • Experience with SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Experience with Python development and scripting.
  • Understanding of web application development concepts and modern development frameworks.
  • Knowledge of UX design principles and user-centered design practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or similar front-end frameworks.
  • Experience developing APIs and back-end services.
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and on-prem solution development.
  • Experience integrating multiple data sources and business systems.
  • Knowledge of data visualization and dashboard design best practices.
  • Exposure to AI, automation, or machine learning technologies.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

The salary range for this position is $89,100 to $132,800, with a midpoint of $110,800. This range reflects current market compensation data and our commitment to competitive, equitable pay. The starting rate is based on the applicant’s relevant experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. Most new hires are offered a starting rate between the minimum and midpoint of the range, although placement elsewhere in the range may be appropriate based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
